Lane County is an amazing place to live, work, and play. With summer just around the corner, prime Oregon living is on the horizon. To take advantage of the gorgeous weather, re-opening businesses and venues, and resumption of area events, concerts and festivals I’m planning a season long staycation to help me soak everything up! Will I take a trip here and there to visit family? Of course. Will I explore other parts of the great PNW? Absolutely! But when I’m home, I plan on living my best life RIGHT HERE.
In an effort to encourage all Lane County residents to do the same, I’ve created a fun social media Scavenger Hunt with a prize valued at over $250 for one lucky participant.
Starting Memorial Day (5/31/2021) and going through Labor Day (9/6/2021)

Print out the Scavenger Hunt Card and fill it out as you visit your favorite place in each category.
Photograph yourself at each one of the categories listed on your game card, post a photo to your Instagram page with #ajhstaycation and #lovelane.
After you complete the top 10 entries, you can drop off your completed Scavenger Hunt with your name, email, and phone number to:
Windermere Real Estate
Attn: Ashley Jorgenson Homes
1600 Oak Street
Eugene, Oregon 97405
A completed Scavenger Hunt will earn you 5 entries into the drawing. If you’d like additional entries, visit the bonus entry categories (one entry per location when you use the above hashtags) at the bottom of the scavenger hunt or invite up to 2 friends to join in the fun. In total, you have 10 possible entries. All entrants must be 21 years old to win. Prize will not be shipped, and must be picked up at 1600 Oak Street, Eugene, Oregon.
One of my favorite ways to explore Lane County is by bicycle. From the Ruth Bascom Riverbank Trail that winds through both Eugene and Springfield, to the Row River Trail in Cottage Grove, a long, leisurely bike ride is always a fun way to spend a day. Included in the prize basket is a $25 gift card to Bicycle Way of Life, a great local shop to get your bike geared up or rent a bicycle if you don’t own one. There is also a Windermere water bottle to help you stay hydrated on your ride.
Hiking more your thing? Use the $20 SeQuential Biofuels gift card and the Lane County Parks Day Pass included in the prize to gas up, drive to, and park at your favorite trailhead. From 360 degree vistas at the top of Spencer Butte to winding along the river at Dorris Ranch, enjoying the shade along Trestle Creek Falls trail or walking barefoot in the sand at Heceta Beach, there is no shortage of gorgeous locations to get outside and get moving. Love that Oregon outdoor air smell on your hikes? Recreate it at home with the Oregon scented candle included in the prize.
Lane County isn’t just a great place to get outdoors, cultural activities abound, and I’ve included 4 passes to one of my favorites. The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art is a world class art museum with diverse permanent collections as well as visiting exhibits.
The produce grown here year-round is amazing but the farms really show off in the summer. One of my favorite ways to spend a day is berry picking at one of the many u-pick farms here. Included in the prize is a strawberry jam from Thistledown Farm, my family’s go-to strawberry patch.
What’s a staycation without splurging on some sweet treats? Use the $10 gift certificate to Mad Batters Bakery to indulge in some of their delicious cakes, bars, or signature Hero cookies. Does chocolate call your name? Included in the prize is a $10 gift card to Euphoria Chocolate that you could use on some of their indulgent truffles, rich and smooth chocolate sauce, or my personal summer favorite, hand-dipped chocolate covered ice cream bars!
