I don’t know about you but I think that being a girl can be pretty tough sometimes so when I heard about Project To Love Ourselves from a friend I knew I wanted to help. The project, started by Whitney Saxon connects struggling girls and women with 15 other adult women who pledge to write them a letter of compassion and understanding. Women helping women, what’s not to love?
Participating is easy, just go to the website and fill out the form. You will be notified via email if you are a fit. Once you’ve been approved you will receive emails on Tuesday and Thursday with new letter requests. You are free to pick and choose the letters that you want to write. If you find a request that you connect with, sign up via the link and all of the important information will be emailed to you. If none of the requests resonate with you or you’re having a busy week it’s perfectly fine to wait for the next email of letter requests.
If you know someone that could benefit from receiving letters the website makes requesting letters easy too. Women often nominate their sisters, daughters, students, and friends but you are also welcome to self-nominate should you yourself need some words of encouragement.
If you would like more information about the Project To Love Ourselves Letter Project you can visit their website. Happy writing!
It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no (wo)man can help another without helping himself (herself). ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
