Summer is my favorite season in Oregon. Where I am from in California summertime can get intensely hot (110 degrees, anyone?) so the more mild Oregon summers have been a welcome change. With the school year winding down and the ratio of sunny to rainy days quickly changing, May always makes me want to get geared up for summer. What better way to gear up for summer than by freshening up your yard and patio.
I am loving the Constantine patio set from Woodard. It’s simple without being boring. It lends itself to many different styles and would work in a variety of gardens.
Sunbrella fabrics are powerhouses even in the harshest weather. I would upholster the seat cushions in this Cannes fabric. The texture gives the monochromatic color some interest while keeping it versatile.
Where would this beautiful patio set go? Underneath this beautifully arched Sonoma pergola.
Strung with these string lights it would be a magical place to enjoy an alfresco dinner on a warm summer evening.
I have also fallen in love with these rock column bird baths I found at Lane Forest Products. Available in varying heights, they will be the delight of birds big and small.
Finally, these artichoke shaped pots I found at my local Home Depot store were a welcome surprise. The colors of the glaze add an almost iridescent look to the pots and the delicate, nature-inspired shape is a unique addition to any patio.
Especially in the summer months, your patio is an extension of your home. Make sure it continues the same aesthetic and feeling you have for your interiors.
